Rocket Report – The Indian startup launch is now within sight as Skyward prepares for its maiden flight later this year, while SpaceX celebrates a millennial milestone with its Starship achieving the 1,000th orbital attempt.

Indian startup launch draws near

Skyward Aerospace, backed by a ↑ 150 million rupee seed round, has secured a launch slot on a proven medium‑lift vehicle. The company aims to deliver 30‑kilogram payloads to low‑Earth orbit, targeting commercial and scientific customers across Asia Pacific.

In parallel, SpaceX’s historic flight marks the Reuters reported 1,000th orbital try, underscoring the private firm’s relentless cadence.

Swift Boost Mission reaches orbit

The Link servicing satellite, built by Katalyst Space Technologies, lifted off aboard a Northrop Grumman Pegasus XL from a modified L‑1011 over Kwajalein. After two weather‑related scrubs, Thursday’s launch succeeded, re‑boosting NASA’s Swift observatory.

“The mission validates rapid‑response orbital servicing,” said mission director Maya Patel.

Analysts note that delays remain endemic; the NASA calendar still shows the Roman Space Telescope slipping into early 2027.

Correction: An earlier dispatch misstated the launch date of the Swift Boost Mission; it occurred on Thursday, not Friday.
