Clarity Act 2026 Faces Senate Calendar Roadblock

Galaxy Research analyst Alex Thorn told Reuters that the Senate’s packed schedule and a standstill in negotiations have driven the odds of the Clarity Act 2026 clearing the chamber to ↓ 50%, a sharp drop from just weeks ago.

“We are seeing a clear shift in timing that makes a 2026 enactment far from certain,” Thorn said.

The setback mirrors the legislative slowdown observed after the pandemic, when multiple bills stalled under similar procedural bottlenecks. Bloomberg notes that without a reprioritization of the Senate calendar, the Clarity Act could slip further into uncertainty.
