AI-powered learning platform boosts focus at ServiceNow

Amid a surge of high‑profile lawsuits against major social‑media firms, Reuters notes a renewed scrutiny of tech‑addiction. In corporate corridors, the symptom is familiar: employees tethered to screens, attention fragmented.

Jayney Howson, ServiceNow’s chief learning officer, responded by launching “mind gyms,” an AI‑driven suite that pairs each worker with a “personal professor” for bite‑size cognitive workouts.

Interactive AI drills

One module lets sales reps rehearse pitches with lifelike AI customers that converse naturally, scoring eye contact, filler usage and conciseness. ↑ 75% of participants return for another round, according to internal data.

“The narrative today blames the human,” Howson says. “We must redesign conditions so human potential can flourish.”

After AI practice, staff team up to apply the skills in live calls, ensuring technology supplements—not supplants—human interaction.

Howson argues the success of such tools hinges on HR strategy: AI should create the environment for deeper focus rather than add another distraction.
