Hudson Leogrande turned a childhood of instability into a multimillion‑dollar empire, now steering the loungewear label Comfrt toward ↑ $1 billion in annual sales.

Comfrt’s meteoric ascent

At 16, the future CEO was couch‑surfing after dropping out of school; by 22 he was subletting Los Angeles apartments, pulling in $60,000 a month through an Airbnb arbitrage model. A failed teeth‑whitening startup taught him that viral exposure beats capital. When a Snapchat clip by influencer Aiden drove $4,000 in orders overnight, Leogrande realized the power of social channels.

“I quit my car‑sales job during COVID and went all‑in on PurelyWhite,” he told Reuters.

After PurelyWhite faded, Leogrande secured the trademark Comfrt and invested $50,000 of personal savings into weighted hoodies designed to calm the nervous system. Early production runs strained cash flow; the company ran out of money twice in 2024, forcing the founder to tap every network connection.

Scaling the brand

Hiring a chief operating officer and a chief financial officer in 2025 professionalized the supply chain, while a network of 500 micro‑influencers flooded TikTok and Instagram with unboxing clips. Today the brand employs ↑ 140 staff and sells blankets, backpacks and pet apparel alongside its signature loungewear.

Leogrande now sits on the board of David Beckham’s wellness venture IM8, a role he describes as “the culmination of a decade of hustling.” Analysts at Bloomberg project the company will breach $1 billion before year‑end, cementing its status as a staple of the post‑pandemic comfort market.
