Train Collision Denmark: Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Early Thursday morning, a head‑on crash at a level crossing north of Copenhagen turned deadly when two passenger trains collided, leaving ↓ 4 people in critical condition.

Witnesses described a sudden impact as the locomotives met at full speed. First responders from the Danish Emergency Management Agency arrived within minutes, stabilizing victims before transporting them to Reuters‑linked hospitals.

“The situation is being treated with the utmost urgency,” said a spokesperson for the Danish Transport Authority.

Investigators from the Accident Investigation Board are reviewing signal data and track maintenance records. A preliminary report suggests a possible signaling failure, but officials caution that the inquiry is ongoing.

Further updates will be provided as the AP News coverage develops.
