iPhone Ultra Color Leak Confirms White Finish Ahead of Foldable Launch

Apple’s long‑rumored foldable handset, dubbed the iPhone Ultra, appears to have its first confirmed finish.

A screenshot posted by the Chinese leaker Ice Universe on Weibo shows a pristine white shell, which analysts say is likely a production dummy rather than a retail unit. Instant Digital echoed the claim, labeling white the only “confirmed” iPhone Ultra color so far.

Possible second shade

A supply‑chain source cited by Bloomberg suggests the rival hue could be an indigo tone reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro’s Deep Blue. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg warned Apple will avoid “fun” colors, sticking to classic silver/white and space‑gray/black palettes, a strategy reminiscent of the 2017 iPhone X launch.

“Apple is likely to keep the palette minimal to simplify manufacturing,” Gurman said.

Industry forecaster Ming‑Chi Kuo predicts the foldable’s intricate assembly will cap output at ↓ 1 million units through ↓ 2026, making an expanded color range financially unattractive. With a launch price projected at ↑ $2,000 and limited early supply, Apple appears disinclined to add optional shades. The iPhone Ultra is slated to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max this September, according to Reuters.
