AI-generated code debugging: hidden reliability tax

The survey of 200 senior SRE and DevOps leaders across the US, UK and EU shows that ↓ 43% of AI‑generated code changes require manual fixes after they reach production, even after passing QA.

Zero respondents claimed confidence that a single redeploy would suffice; ↓ 88% need two to three cycles, while a minority require four to six.

“We are hitting a trust wall with AI adoption,” said Or Maimon, Lightrun’s CBO.
