President Donald Trump has publicly acknowledged a “little bit different” approach with intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities, highlighting a growing rift within the administration’s Iran policy framework. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump confirmed he maintains confidence in Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, despite their contrasting assessments of Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. “She’s a little bit different in her thought process than me,” Trump stated, “but that doesn’t make somebody not available to serve.” The president emphasized his hardline stance: “I’m very strong in the fact that I don’t want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, because if they had a nuclear weapon, they would use it immediately.” Gabbard, however, appears to take a more measured position, which Trump characterized as “probably a little bit softer on that issue, but that’s okay.”
