Skyroot Aerospace is set to make history on July 18 as its Vikram-1 rocket lifts off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on Sriharikota, delivering India’s inaugural private orbital launch. The mission, dubbed Aagaman (Sanskrit for “arrival”), carries a German DCUBED tech demo, Grahaa Space’s Solaras S3 nanosatellite, Cosmoserve Space’s debris‑capture arm, and Skyroot’s own SCOPE performance satellite. Symbolic cargo includes an 18‑karat gold rocket by artist Ajay Kumar Mattewada and “Cosmic Bloom” jewelry from Cosmos Diamonds.

“The test flight is the first step towards creating a reliable, on‑demand launch company for the world from India,” said co‑founder and COO Naga Bharath Daka.
