OnePlus shuts down US and Europe

OnePlus has officially announced it will cease launching new smartphones in the United States and Europe, ending a decade‑long push that began with its 2014 debut. The decision follows a post‑pandemic pivot toward the Indian market and growing integration with parent brand Oppo.

“We have made a strategic decision to conclude new product rollouts in Europe and North America,” the firm stated.

While the OnePlus 15, slated for late 2025, will be the final model seen on Western shelves, analysts note a ↓ 25% dip in quarterly sales across these regions, according to Reuters. Investors are watching how the brand reallocates resources to emerging markets.

Earlier this year the company brushed off shutdown rumors, but the language was vague. Today’s announcement is unequivocal, signalling a broader global strategy adjustment that aligns OnePlus more closely with Oppo’s product cadence.
