Embark Studios says the overhaul removes map‑condition locks, letting players earn progress on any map. The change also eliminates the former double‑points bonus ↓ 2x, leveling the field for all playstyles.

Servers worldwide will open the season at the following local times: North America (PT) 12:00 AM, North America (ET) 3:00 AM, United Kingdom (BST) 8:00 AM, Europe (CEST) 9:00 AM, Japan (JST) 4:00 PM, Brazil (BRT) 4:00 AM, Australia (AEST) 5:00 PM, New Zealand (NZST) 7:00 PM. The rollout follows the Reuters report on the growing integration of live‑service titles.

New Recon Outfit will serve as the season’s headline cosmetic. Unlock the base set at “Tryhard I” rank; higher tiers such as Hotshot and Cantina Legend grant alternate color palettes.

“Unlock the base outfit by reaching the rank of Tryhard I, and unlock new toggles as you progress through the season. That life vest may come in handy for your seaside adventures,” Embark Studios said in its blog.

The studio also notes that feedback on squad size imbalance and leaderboard concerns has shaped the redesign. Future updates will continue to respond to community input, echoing broader industry shifts seen in sectors as varied as esports and nuclear technology.
