A stealth longevity startup called R3 Bio, based in Richmond, California, has revealed plans to create brainless human clones as part of a controversial body replacement strategy aimed at extending human lifespan indefinitely. The company, which has operated in secrecy for years, announced last week that it has raised funds from high-profile investors including billionaire Tim Draper and Singapore-based fund Immortal Dragons to develop what it calls “organ sacks” – monkey bodies grown without complete brains as alternatives to animal testing.
