Meta has unveiled a dedicated mobile application for Facebook Marketplace vendors. Branded simply as Seller, the Meta Seller app arrives as a free, standalone client that consolidates listing creation, inventory dashboards, buyer messaging, and performance analytics.

Power sellers can now download the app, sign in with their Facebook credentials, and tap a phone camera to scan items; an embedded AI engine auto‑populates title, description, and price fields. According to internal data cited by Reuters, ↑ 1/3 of young adults who remain on Facebook also shop on Marketplace, and users post ↑ 420 million listings each month.

“The Seller app is to Marketplace what a video editor is to creators,” Meta head Tom Allison told the New York Times.

Meta continues a rollout strategy that last month introduced a separate Groups‑focused app, signaling a broader push to serve niche power‑user segments with specialized software. The company monetises Marketplace through advertising and takes no commission on sales, preserving the low‑cost appeal that has kept the platform competitive against TikTok Shop and Instagram Shopping.
