Propaganda’s Grip on the Right

She says the echo chamber of right‑leaning podcasters amplified Russian disinformation, steering many conservatives to view Kyiv as a “Nazi haven.” Loomer told Reuters that her shift was gradual, sparked by personal anger over the 2020 election and by bans on mainstream platforms that pushed her onto Telegram, a hub for Russian‑sponsored content.

“People have stopped using common sense and now let personalities dictate foreign‑policy opinions,” Loomer said, labeling the trend a “major national‑security threat.”

Ukrainian officials greeted her with cautious optimism, hoping her sizable online following will reshape narratives in Washington as President Trump prepares to host Zelenskyy. Deputy Prime Minister Tetyana Berezhna told the AP that Loomer’s firsthand exposure could “have a huge impact” on U.S. policy.

Trump himself reposted a clip of Loomer’s interview, adding “Very good!!!” to his feed.
