The iPhone Photography Awards have once again showcased how a smartphone can rival professional gear, crowning a dramatic volcanic eruption over the Cayman Islands as the Grand Prize image. Shot by Robyn Jensen on an iPhone 15 Pro, the photo captures molten lava against a twilight sky, demonstrating the device’s low‑light prowess.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Highlights

Gellért Gombai earned the Gold Prize with a monochrome study of two children asleep beneath a badminton racket, taken on an iPhone X. The Silver accolade went to a sweeping seascape captured on an iPhone 16 Pro, while the Bronze winner used an iPhone 16 Pro Max to frame a bustling street market.

“The iPhone’s computational photography is redefining artistic boundaries,” said a spokesperson at the awards ceremony.
