Comic-Con 2026: Key Film and TV Announcements

San Diego’s flagship convention proved once again that it is the industry’s crystal ball, with Marvel, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and AMC dropping heavyweight reveals that will shape the next two years of cinema and streaming.

Marvel’s new ghost rider and Black Panther sequel

Ryan Gosling was officially confirmed as Johnny Blaze in the MCU‑backed Ghost Rider directed by Shawn Levy, slated for 2028. In the same session, David Jonsson earned the mantle of Black Panther, playing T’Challa’s son in a Ryan Coogler‑directed picture set for December 15, 2028.

The Rings of Power season 3

The Amazon series unveiled a trailer where Sauron finally forges the One Ring, igniting a continent‑wide war. New voices include Simon Pegg as the Balrog and Eddie Marsan as Dwarven king Thrain, while Andrew Richardson steps in as future Gondor ruler Anárion. Premiere: November 11.

Prime Video’s sci‑fi lineup

The first glimpse of Blade Runner 2099 shows Michelle Yeoh as replicant Olwen, opposite Hunter Schafer’s fugitive. Ridley Scott executive‑produces; Silka Luisa runs the show. Arrival: November 25.

“We’re pushing the boundaries of what streaming can deliver,” a Marvel spokesperson told Reuters.

Mike Flanagan’s eight‑part Carrie reimagines Stephen King’s telekinetic teen in the smartphone era, debuting October 7 on Prime Video. Lead Summer H. Howell joins Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong and Matthew Lillard.

AMC+ and Crave teased Yaga, a Canadian supernatural mystery starring Noah Reid and Carrie‑Anne Moss, adapted from Kat Sandler’s 2019 play.

Apple TV+ dropped the first trailer for Neuromancer, casting Callum Turner as hacker Case in a sleek adaptation of Gibson’s cyber‑punk classic.

These announcements arrive as studios recalibrate post‑pandemic consumption trends, promising a flood of content for theaters and streaming alike.
