The U.S. Federal Communications Commission just released paperwork that lists an unreleased Apple over-ear headphones device, identified by the internal code A3577 and described simply as “Bluetooth over‑ear headphones.” No official name or design details have emerged yet, and the filing is masked by a standard confidentiality request. A lone diagram shows a generic ear cup with the FCC ID label, offering no clues about styling.

“The documents are subject to a confidentiality claim, a routine measure for Apple’s submissions,” a source familiar with FCC processes told Reuters.

Analysts note that the model number does not match the AirPods Max 2 (A3454), so the device could belong to Beats, potentially a refreshed Beats Studio Pro line, which debuted in July 2023. Apple’s headphone market share rose ↑ 2% last quarter, according to Bloomberg, adding weight to speculation about a new premium offering. The FCC has withheld most technical schematics, so the industry will have to wait for further disclosures.
