Facing soaring ticket prices after a Reuters report on Live Nation’s market dominance, the pop icon turned to Grindr, the gay‑dating app, for a surprise set. Within minutes of announcing the event on the platform, she commandeered a Times Square stage, debuting tracks from the forthcoming Confessions II while spinning classics from the original Confessions album. The crowd swelled faster than any pre‑sale, with a ↓ 30% dip in average ticket cost compared with recent tours. A branded Grindr bus rolled through the square, underscoring the partnership.

“The LGBTQ+ community has stood with me from day one. Partnering with Grindr feels like a celebration of that connection — safety in numbers,” Madonna said in a press release.

Last week, the singer joined Bob the Drag Queen and playwright Jeremy O. Harris for a live interview on Grindr’s YouTube channel, where she discussed the slang meaning of “mother” and reaffirmed her bond with queer fans.
