Hantavirus Cases Rise on French Vessel

French health officials confirmed that a French national is exhibiting hantavirus symptoms after disembarking from the MV Hondius, a ship recently linked to an outbreak.

Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne announced that ↓ 5 passengers will remain in quarantine in Paris “until further notice”.

“We are monitoring the situation closely,” the spokesperson told Reuters.

The incident follows heightened vigilance across Europe as authorities scramble to contain the virus, reminiscent of the earlier pandemic response.

Additional details are expected from Bloomberg later today.
