After ↓ 44 years of cumulative sentences, the 54‑year‑old activist describes a society choked by economic collapse, relentless crackdowns and the lingering trauma of the 12‑day Israel‑Iran clash.

“If you go out into the streets, you see a wave of resistance, a wave of awareness, and their determination to stand up for their rights,” Mohammadi said.

Her memoir, “A Woman Never Stops Fighting,” smuggled out of Evin prison, will appear in French, German and nine other languages this month, with English and Farsi editions slated for next year. The book’s launch coincides with the anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s death, a catalyst for the 2022 protests that still echo today.

Mohammadi, released temporarily for medical care after a loss of consciousness, recounts severe beatings in Mashhad, months in solitary confinement and a lingering “life‑threatening” health toll. Yet she stresses that younger Iranians “know their rights” and remain undeterred.
